Rosamund Pike
Born in 1979 in London, England, actress Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike is the sole child of a classically trained violinist's mother, Caroline (Friend), and a singer father, Julian Pike. Due to their work, she spent her childhood travelling around Europe. Pike attended Bristol's Badminton School and started acting at the National Youth Theatre. Pike was only 23 when she appeared in "Romeo and Juliet" at the National Youth Theatre. She was then recognized by an agent and was signed. Her debut film was a large-budget action movie. However, her later film work was primarily in independent films like Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004). She was also awarded the award for Best Supporting Actress prize at The British Independent Film Awards. Pride & Prejudice (2005) included Pike as one of the Bennet girls. A brief appearance in Hollywood film was followed by the action movie, Doom (2005), and the thriller, Fracture (2007) however, she made a return to smal
