Sarah Hyland
Sarah Hyland was the daughter of actors Melissa D. Canaday (New York City) and Edward James Hyland (New York City). At the age of 4 she entered the industry with voiceovers and commercial work. Private Parts (1997) was her first film. After that, she starred in The Object of My Affection (1998) and then spent time in Another World (1964) as "Rain Wolfe" as a child found in the park, and cared for by Josie and Gary. Sarah would work with Amy Carlson ("Josie") for a few more episodes: Falcone (2000). Law & Order (1990). Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was cast as one of the young "Audrey Hepburns" in Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story (2000) the same year she was cast as "Molly" in ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999) starring Kathy Bates, Audra McDonald, Alan Cumming, Victor Garber and Kristin Chenoweth. Joe Gould's Secret (2000) and Falcone (2000). Sarah took classes in jazz hip hop, tap Theatre Dance and voice. She also performed with her Theatre and tap classes at "Reel to Real" at Lincoln Center as invited performers. Sarah was born in New York and raised in New York. Her homeschooling was provided by her mother up to 2nd grade. She then attended Public School. In 6th grade, she was accepted into PPAS (Professional Performing Arts School) which she attended until she graduated in 2008. Sarah who was 18 years old, moved to Los Angeles, CA, where she landed an aircraft pilot named "My American Family". The pilot's name was later changed to Modern Family (2009, after Sarah was selected). As of now, Sarah portrays "Haley Dunphy" the eldest Dunphy child. Modern Family (2009) won numerous awards, most notably the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
