Alona Tal
Alona Tal, an Israeli-American performer and actress, was born on October 20th, 1983, in Herzliya, Israel. She started her career following her time as a member of the Israeli Defense Forces. In 2003, she was a star in an Israeli film. This was her major break. She also appeared in two Israeli television series at the time. She also attempted to make singing and recorded a few songs along with Subliminal, an Israeli rapper. Tal relocated with her sister in New York to take a time out from her work. In the track "Party to Damascus" she performed in a collaboration with Wyclef Jean from Haiti. She also established herself on American television, starting with a recurring role in the show Veronica Mars: She originally tried out for the lead role, but creator Rob Thomas wrote a new character specifically for her. Tal eventually was offered an appointment as a regular character in the CBS series. After moving to New York, he appeared in two television shows in Israel. Wyclef Jean recorded a track. Her first language is Hebrew. Second choice for the character as Veronica in Veronica Mars (2004).Originally auditioned for Veronica Mars (2004) and was Rob Thomas' second choice for the lead role. Thomas loved her so much, he made the role of Meg Manning for her. She was a member of The Israel Defense Forces. Both of her parents are Jews. Her father is Turkish/Jewish while her mother is Polish/Jewish. She plays the role of Adrian Monk's spouse, who was murdered in the last episode of Monk (2002).
