Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zuer is an Israeli actress who
has been praised for her performances. She was born in Tel Aviv in 1967, she
was first noticed by Hollywood after she was cast in the role of Eric Bana's
wife on the Oscar(r), nominated movie Munich (2005). Zurer has appeared in many
Studio films since arriving in the United States, including Sony Pictures'
Vantage Point with William Hurt and Dennis Quaid, Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive
Parts with Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader’s Adam Resurrected with Jeff
Goldblum, and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons opposite Tom Hanks.
Darling Companion is an ensemble movie by Lawrence Kasdan which features Diane
Keaton and Kevin Kline. Warner Bros. Man Of Steel along with Russell Crow. She
also filmed Rodrigo Garcia, Last days in the desert alongside Ewan McGregor
while awaiting the release of the film The Last Knights by the Japanese
director Kazuaki Kiriya opposite Clive Owen. In recognition of her performance
as Hostages as the lead actress she won the Gold Nymph Award at the 54th
Festival of Television held in Monte-Carlo. Ayelet received an Israeli Film And
Television Academy Award for her performance as Nina in the Tragedies. She also
received nominations for her performance in the films Only Dogs Run Free, The
Dybbuk from the Holy Apple Field, Desperado, and Rutenberg. Zurer was awarded
the Haifa International Film Festival critic prize and received a star on
Haifa's "film boulevard" for her local and international
achievements. Zurer was also honored with the Israeli Television Academy Award
for her role in "In Treatment", an internationally acclaimed
television show that has been adapted to American TV by HBO. The year 2014 saw
her nomination for the top show of 2014 "Shtisel". She also received
the award for best actresses in drama for her role as an amazing surgeon
confronted by a life and death decision in Hostages. This show was telecast to
BBC4 and Canal Plus as well as the American ABC. She is the "face "
of one of Israel's biggest women's fashion companies- Golbary. She is a
producer, writer, illustrator, and a co-author on "Shorts", the first
adult book by Gabi Nitazn. Ayelet is currently working on several projects in
Israel and the United States. She expressed desire to collaborate
internationally with directors from all over the world because she believes in
joining with unknown directors and writers.
