Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born to Gayle
(Gaston) and Freddie Wright, the national Director of Mary Kay and Freddie
Wright. She was born in San Diego, California. At the age of 14, she started
her career as a model. She was a model in Paris as well as Japan. She decided
to be an actress after she graduated high school. She was offered a spot in
Santa Barbara's soap-opera (1984), and she was nominated for three daytime
Emmys. She fell in love with Dane Witherspoon during the first season. They got
married in 1986. In 1987, she appeared in the title role in The Princess Bride.
After leaving Santa Barbara, she was given the lead role in Denial (1990) along
with Jason Patric. It was during State of Grace (1990) in the year she got to
know Sean Penn. They had a daughter Dylan Frances and a son Hopper Jack. After
a break, Robin was back to Hollywood and landed one of her most memorable role
of her career: She played Tara in The Playboys (1992). She was a stunning actor
and an amazing performer. In the following film, she appeared Toys (1992)
together alongside Robin Williams. She gave an enthralling performance. Wright
was part of 1994's blockbuster smash Forrest Gump (1994) with Tom Hanks. Wright
was nominated to win a Golden Globe Award for her role as Jenny. She was
offered a minor part in The Crossing Guard (1995) along with Jack Nicholson.
After a string of rejections, she was offered the title role in MGM/UA’s Moll
Flanders (1996). The movie was directed by Pen Densham and featured Morgan
Freeman, Stockard Channing, and Morgan Freeman. Then, she appeared alongside
William Hurt in Erin Dignam’s Loved (1997).
