Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actress.
She is most well-known for her performances on American daytime TV, guests on
shows that are episodic and made-for-television movies. Sofer was awarded a
Daytime Emmy Award by CBS in 1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo, the role she
played in the soap opera General Hospital. Since 2013, she's played Quinn
Fuller on the CBS soap show The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in
Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor and
Martin Sofer, a Conservative rabbi. Her family then moved to Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, until when, following divorce of her parents, [citation needed]
she moved with her brother and father David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970.
They lived in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. The family
was brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish
Center. She attended the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox
Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer resided in North Bergen, New
Jersey and her father was Rabbi of the synagogue Temple Beth El. After
graduation from North Bergen High School in 1998, she continued her education
at Montclair State College. Sofer was the first actress to perform as Lois
Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as the manager of the
band. However, her first role was in the role of Rocky McKenzie in the daytime
soap show Loving (1988-91). The most famous of her roles is that of Lois
Cerullo, a nurse on General Hospital from December 15 from 1993 until September
24 in 1996. Later she returned to the series as a guest-star (February 7 1997 -
September 30 in 1997; October 2, 1997 - October 2 1997). Her performance as the
hilarious Lois was a huge hit and earned Sofer a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for
the role of Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series. In May 2013 the
announcement was made that Sofer will be joining the CBS soap series The Bold
and the Beautiful with a brand new character called Quinn Fuller; her first episode
aired on July 12. Sofer has been a guest star/supporting cast member in a
variety of primetime high-profile television series, including Seinfeld and
Melrose Place. Her first episode aired on July 12.
