Rita Ora, a British artist and singer. Rita Sahatciu Ora was a British singer-songwriter , born to Vera Bajraktari and Besnik Sahatciu in Pristina, Kosovo in 1990. Besim Sahatciu is her granddaughter. At the age of one, her family took the decision to move to England. Her home was West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court. After that she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School followed by St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She sang from an early stage of her life. In 2004, she was a part of the British film Spivs. She auditioned for Eurovision: Your Country Needs You on BBC One to be the British contestant in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest however, she later withdrew from the competition after a few shows because she was not sure she was ready. Ora released her first music in 2007 when she was featured on Craig David’s song entitled "Awkward" Then she made a second appearance on "Where’s Your Love" featuring TinchyStryder. Ora began singing in bars across London. Roc Nation was informed by an A&R about Ora in the year 2009 a couple of days after Ora was on her way to New York and met Jay-Z. Ora was featured in Jay-Z’s 2009 music video "Young Forever" and "Over" from Drake. Jay-Z saw Ora and quietly signed her up with Roc Nation. She was the subject of a commercial featuring Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. Her father Besnik owned a pub and she started her singing career from that same bar. Gwen Stefani is a major influence on her personality. She also cites her father, Besnik, who was a pub owner. Kate Moss, Ed Sheeran and their pals.
