Seehorn (born May 12, 1972) is an American actress. Her most well-known role is
the role of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018) and
was a two-time recipient of the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress รข€“
Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She's also appeared on the NBC's Whitney
(2011)-2013 and ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004 and TNT's Franklin & Bash
(2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12
on the 12th of May, 1972. Her mother was an executive assistant in the United
States Navy, and her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service.
She was raised by a family that was constantly moving, including the cities of
Washington, D.C., Arizona, and Japan. Following in the footsteps of her
grandmother and father, she studied painting, drawing and building from an
early age. While she was a lover of all of the arts in her life, she also
developed an interest in acting. In college she was introduced the world of
contemporary theatre. She earned her degree from George Mason University in
1994 with a degree in Studio Art. Seehorn, who was a student was interested in
entering theater after being urged by her acting instructor. In order to be
noticed she took on other roles in D.C.'s theater industry. She ended up
getting some important performances in local theater However, she still had to
work odd jobs to pay the bills and she was cast in a variety of short
industrial instructional films. She soon was able to be cast in TV productions.
The roles she played were usually that were "very wry and sarcastic"
like her role model Bea Arthur. However, most of these roles were for short-run
series that ended after just two or three seasons. Seehorn was cast as Kim
Wexler in the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn
is Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love interest for the Jimmy McGill
character.
