Meredith Salenger Bio

Meredith Salenger is an actress and writer, producer, and activist who was born and raised in Malibu, CA. She began her professional acting career at the age of 10 playing an orphan with dancing and singing in the film "Annie"(1982), directed by John Huston. At 14 she starred in "The Journey of Nattygann" with John Cusack (1982), and Ray Wise (1985). It was the first American film to be awarded the Moscow Film Festival's gold award. This film also garnered Meredith "Best Actress in the Drama" at the Youth in Film Awards for her amazing portrayal of tomboyish Natty Gann. Meredith was the main character in "Dream a little Dream", opposite The Coreys, and "A Night in Life of Jimmy Reardon" - Meredith has left Hollywood for Harvard for a four-year break. She earned her degree cum laude in Psychology. After returning to Hollywood, Meredith has been featured in TV comedies, including opposite Steve Carrell in "H.U.D," "Chicks" with the same writers as Seinfeld. She has guest starred in "Will & Grace," the show of Charlie Sheen "Anger Management", Happy! and several other shows. She was a fan of her dramatic roles in shows like 24, Dawson's Creek, Grey's Anatomy, Daredevil, Damages, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Cold Case, Close to Home, etc. Meredith was also in David Kelley's "Lake Placid" alongside Bill Pullman, Brendan Gleeson, Oliver Platt and Betty White as well as John Carpenter's "Village of the Damned" with Mark Hamill and Christopher Reeves as well as a variety of Independent films. Meredith then entered the Star Wars universe voicing characters in The Clone Wars, Rebels, and The Force awakens. You can also listen to her voiceover work in: The Secret Life of Pets 2. My Little Pony, Teen Titans Go to the Movies, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! Robot Chicken, Lego DC Super Hero Girls and more. Meredith has also been certified as a mediator by the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. She has been able to successfully resolve more than 100 cases in the Los Angeles Superior Courts. In 2017, she was married to comedian Patton Oswalt and became a mother to Alice, an adorable and playful child. She has been writing and producing sitcoms and animated shows since 2021 with Matt Boren. She also voiced a variety of animated shows, including Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. on HULU. (2021) She produces and hosts a funny podcast together with her husband titled, "Did you get my text?"
